Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong

Malaysia is the most forested and pristine of the countries of Southeast Asia, and it borders one of the most densely populated places on earth: Singapore. Malaysia's capitol, Kuala Lumpur, is a diverse mix of Buddhists, Muslims and Indians and Malays, the indigenous tribe of the peninsula. The Batu Caves outside the city are a pilgrimage site for hindus. Singapore has a world class zoo that's well worth wandering around.
