Jordan Homes: Rio Del Mar, creating solitude in a packed beach area
How do you create tranquility on an old lot in tightly packed beach neighborhood?-- Leave the trees. It takes a lot more finesse to work around the trees, but when you're done, the house looks like it's been there for ever. An age-old California Cypress with a 5' wide trunk was saved, as were the trees to the left. A hedge blocked off the side yard, keeping all view out the windows green and serene.
